Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical protection and control systems for substations, power plants, and industrial facilities.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, and budgeting to ensure on-time delivery within financial constraints.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies and risk assessments for electrical system upgrades and new installations.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors to define project scope, specifications, and compliance requirements (IEC, IEEE, local regulations).
- Develop and review protection schemes (differential, distance, overcurrent) and control system architectures (PLC, RTU, SCADA).
- Ensure safety compliance (OSHA, NFPA 70E) and perform factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT).
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, IT).
- Prepare detailed reports, as-built drawings, and commissioning documentation for client handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in electrical protection & control systems, preferably in utility, industrial, or renewable energy sectors.
- Proficiency in ETAP, PSCAD, or DigSILENT for system modeling and protection coordination studies.
- Hands-on experience with IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, and other communication protocols for substation automation.
- Strong knowledge of relays (SEL, ABB, Siemens), switchgear, transformers, and power system analysis.
- Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or electrical safety (NFPA 70E) are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) for client-facing roles.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Bali and potentially Southeast Asia.
