Responsibility
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of core banking system projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts (BAs) to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for banking system enhancements.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and vendors, to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure smooth implementation.
- Monitor project progress using Agile/Scrum methodologies, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and internal policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate change management initiatives to support user adoption and minimize resistance to new systems.
- Optimize project resources, budgets, and timelines to maximize efficiency and ROI for the bank.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related fields; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in core banking or financial systems.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale IT projects, preferably in the banking or fintech sector.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, payment systems, and regulatory compliance (e.g., Basel III, AML, KYC).
- Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master is highly advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills to drive collaboration across teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, MS Project) and Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote, or hybrid environment with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
