Responsibility
- Develop and execute material and production planning strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and meet customer demand.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor and analyze demand forecasts, sales trends, and production capacities to align supply with business needs.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, resolve delays, and maintain strong relationships.
- Generate and present detailed reports on production schedules, material usage, and KPIs to senior management.
- Lead cross-functional projects to streamline planning processes and integrate new technologies or systems.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices in all planning activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in material/production planning, preferably in EMS, electronics manufacturing, or a similar industry.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning), demand forecasting, and inventory management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with internal and external teams.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
