Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle management, from design validation to end-of-life support, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical and operational issues in existing products, implementing corrective actions to enhance performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and suppliers) to drive product improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering change orders (ECOs), failure analysis reports, and sustaining engineering procedures.
- Monitor product performance in the field, gather customer feedback, and translate insights into actionable engineering solutions.
- Support supply chain optimization by evaluating component alternatives, managing obsolescence risks, and ensuring uninterrupted production.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to team members on sustaining engineering best practices.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions for product enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Masterās degree is a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in product sustaining engineering, with a focus on electronics, telecommunications, or similar industries.
- Proven track record in root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode analysis (FMEA), and implementing corrective actions (CAPA).
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, vendor coordination, and cost-reduction strategies.
- Proficiency in CAD tools, PLM systems, and data analysis software (e.g., SolidWorks, SAP, JIRA).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills with the ability to work in a global team environment.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., FCC, CE, UL) and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
