Responsibility
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wafer manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs on semiconductor production tools, including plasma etch, deposition, and metrology systems.
- Monitor equipment health and document maintenance activities in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, SEMI).
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement continuous improvement projects for efficiency and reliability enhancements.
- Adhere to cleanroom protocols and safety regulations to maintain a contamination-free environment.
- Assist in calibration and testing of equipment to meet precision and quality control requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency maintenance support during off-hours.
- Stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices in semiconductor equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a semiconductor, electronics, or cleanroom environment.
- Familiarity with PLC systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and vacuum technologies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to read technical schematics and manuals.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) for technical documentation and team collaboration.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Certification in occupational health and safety (OHS) or cleanroom protocols is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
