Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle for sheet metal components, from initial design to mass production.
- Optimize manufacturability by evaluating design feasibility, material selection, and production methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with R&D, design, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement DFM (Design for Manufacturability) guidelines to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Conduct cost analysis and propose cost-saving measures without compromising product integrity or performance.
- Oversee prototype testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to maintain high-quality output.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in sheet metal fabrication to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sheet metal product development, fabrication, or manufacturing.
- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and familiar with CAM tools.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal forming processes (e.g., stamping, bending, laser cutting, welding).
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and quality control systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required; knowledge of Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
