Responsibility
- Lead and manage NPI projects from design conceptualization to mass production, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to develop and implement robust product designs and processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design reviews to identify potential issues and mitigate risks early in the development cycle.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications, process flows, and test protocols.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components, ensuring compliance with technical and quality requirements.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to refine NPI processes and enhance overall product development capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in NPI engineering, product development, or a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, machining, and assembly.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
