Responsibility
- Define, develop, and deploy advanced EDA methodologies for RF, analog, and mixed-signal IC design.
- Collaborate with R&D and design teams to optimize tool flows and improve design efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership in evaluating, selecting, and integrating new EDA tools and technologies.
- Troubleshoot complex design issues and propose innovative solutions to enhance performance.
- Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and best practices for EDA workflows.
- Work closely with vendors to ensure seamless tool integration and support.
- Mentor junior engineers and share expertise to foster a culture of technical growth.
- Stay abreast of industry trends in EDA and semiconductor design to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in EDA applications engineering, with a focus on RF/analog/mixed-signal design.
- Proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Synopsys Custom Designer, Mentor Graphics ADE).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Tcl, or Perl for automation and tool customization.
- Experience with RF design flows, EM simulation, and layout verification tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex design and tool-related issues.
- Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global environment.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
