Responsibility
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components, to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of building equipment and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to execute repairs, upgrades, and maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Monitor and manage energy consumption, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, utilizing facility management software as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with the facilities management team to plan and execute capital improvement projects and facility upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Building Engineer, Facilities Engineer, or similar role, preferably in a commercial or hospitality setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Proficiency in using facility management software and tools for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in building maintenance, safety, or related areas is a plus.
