Responsibility
- Lead product improvement initiatives to enhance performance, reliability, and manufacturability of existing and new products.
- Drive yield enhancement programs to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste in manufacturing processes.
- Conduct cost-reduction analyses and implement strategies to improve profitability without compromising quality.
- Perform technical analysis for new product transfers, including process validation, risk assessment, and feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Operations, Quality Assurance) to resolve technical challenges and ensure seamless product transitions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for engineering processes, including SOPs, work instructions, and technical reports.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions for process optimization.
- Provide technical support to production teams and suppliers to troubleshoot issues and improve overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or process optimization in a high-volume production environment.
- Proven expertise in yield enhancement, cost reduction, and technical analysis for manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, Kaizen).
- Experience with new product introduction (NPI) and product transfer processes, including risk assessment and validation.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab), and ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin) are a plus.
