Responsibility
- Lead the development and optimization of new and existing products to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Drive cost competitiveness and footprint localization strategies to align with regional and global business objectives.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking to identify market gaps and opportunities for innovation.
- Spearhead value engineering projects to improve product design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product launches and lifecycle management.
- Develop and implement technical specifications, testing protocols, and validation plans for new products.
- Analyze product performance data and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to cross-functional project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in product development, design engineering, or R&D within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Proven expertise in value engineering, cost reduction, and product optimization methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of bearing technologies, rotary motion systems, or precision engineering (SKF product experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), FEA analysis, and DFMEA tools.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a benefit.
