Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance for veterinary medical supplies and equipment.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring competitive pricing, favorable terms, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee inventory management, including demand forecasting, stock level monitoring, and just-in-time procurement to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to align procurement activities with hospital operational needs and budget constraints.
- Streamline supply chain logistics, including shipping, customs clearance, and distribution for multi-location facilities.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, emerging technologies, and cost-saving opportunities in veterinary healthcare.
- Ensure adherence to ethical sourcing and sustainability practices in line with Mars’ corporate values.
- Prepare and present procurement reports and KPIs to senior management, highlighting savings, efficiency gains, and risk mitigation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CIPS) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain management, preferably in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or veterinary sectors.
- Proven track record in vendor negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and senior leadership.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in medical/healthcare procurement (e.g., FDA, ISO standards) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a problem-solving mindset.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are advantageous.
