Responsibility
- Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Optimize existing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness in semiconductor production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, production, quality assurance) to integrate mechanical solutions into full-scale manufacturing systems.
- Conduct failure analysis and root-cause investigations to resolve equipment malfunctions and process deviations.
- Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and specifications for internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel frequently between Singapore and Johor Bahru (JB) to support equipment installation, testing, and client training.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in semiconductor equipment technology and recommend innovative solutions.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in all engineering activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, process engineering, or semiconductor equipment development.
- Proven expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes (e.g., lithography, etching, deposition) and equipment (e.g., CVD, PVD, CMP).
- Experience with project management and cross-border collaboration in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and process issues.
- Willingness to travel frequently (50-70%) between Singapore and Malaysia (JB).
- Fluency in English; additional proficiency in Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
