Responsibility
- Lead the process integration of silicon photonics and IC devices from concept to production, ensuring alignment with design specifications and performance targets.
- Develop and optimize fabrication processes, including lithography, etching, deposition, and doping, to enhance device yield and reliability.
- Conduct advanced IC characterization using electrical, optical, and structural testing methods to validate process performance.
- Collaborate with R&D, design, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Design and execute DOE (Design of Experiments) to systematically improve process parameters and reduce variability.
- Document and maintain process flow specifications, work instructions, and technical reports for compliance and knowledge sharing.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in semiconductor technology and propose innovative solutions to maintain competitive advantage.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure team success and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in semiconductor process integration, with a focus on silicon photonics or IC fabrication.
- Hands-on experience with process tools such as CVD, PECVD, RIE, ICP, and metrology equipment (SEM, AFM, ellipsometry).
- Strong background in IC characterization techniques, including electrical testing (IV, CV), optical testing (spectroscopy, interferometry), and failure analysis.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, JMP) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Familiarity with TCAD simulations (e.g., Silvaco, COMSOL) and process modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly.
