Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and maintain semiconductor manufacturing processes to improve yield, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for process deviations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Production) to introduce new processes and technologies.
- Monitor and analyze process performance metrics (e.g., CPK, yield rates) using statistical process control (SPC) tools.
- Design and execute experiments (DOE) to validate process improvements and troubleshoot production issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, SEMATECH) and internal quality management systems.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on best practices and new procedures.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor process engineering, preferably in wafer fabrication, etching, deposition, or lithography.
- Strong knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with metrology tools (SEM, AFM, ellipsometry) and process equipment.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Python, MATLAB, or Excel).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality standards is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
