Responsibility
- Lead the development and optimization of injection molding processes, including parameter tuning, cycle time reduction, and defect resolution.
- Oversee New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, from prototyping to full-scale production, ensuring seamless transitions and adherence to timelines.
- Design and validate tooling, molds, and fixtures to meet stringent quality and performance standards for medical/automotive applications.
- Implement and maintain automation and vision systems to enhance process control, inspection, and traceability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Production) to resolve technical challenges and improve yield rates.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO, IATF) and internal quality systems in cleanroom or controlled environments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to reduce scrap, rework, and downtime.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices in injection molding and process validation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in injection molding process engineering, with a focus on NPI, tooling, or validation.
- Proven expertise in medical device or automotive manufacturing, including cleanroom protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with automation (robotic systems, PLCs) and vision inspection systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
- Strong knowledge of process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), DOE, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and molding simulation tools (e.g., Moldflow).
- Certifications in Lean/Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) or ISO 13485/IATF 16949 are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills in English.
