Responsibility
- Develop, review, and optimize P&ID and PFD diagrams for chemical plant processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Lead process design and improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, maintenance, HSE) to implement process modifications and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and risk assessments to mitigate potential operational risks.
- Monitor and analyze plant performance metrics, identifying opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction.
- Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for internal and regulatory purposes.
- Provide training and guidance to plant operators and junior engineers on process control, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in chemical engineering to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field. PE (Professional Engineer) certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in chemical plant operations, process design, or process engineering, with expertise in P&ID/PFD development.
- Proficient in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Aspen Plus, or HYSYS for process simulation and diagram creation.
- Strong knowledge of chemical process safety, HAZOP studies, and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA, ISO, local Indonesian standards).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience in process scale-up, commissioning, or startup of chemical plants is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Badung, Bali and adapt to a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.
