Responsibility
- Develop and optimize test methodologies for semiconductor devices, including DC/AC parametric testing, functional testing, and reliability validation.
- Lead device characterization and failure analysis to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design, process, and product engineering teams to improve test coverage, yield, and cost efficiency.
- Design and implement automated test systems (ATE) and software scripts to streamline testing processes.
- Drive yield enhancement programs by analyzing test data, identifying trends, and recommending process improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in test development and debugging.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in semiconductor testing and incorporate best practices.
- Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or related fields.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in semiconductor test development, with expertise in ATE (e.g., Teradyne, Advantest).
- Strong knowledge of device physics, CMOS/analog/mixed-signal testing, and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C++, or LabVIEW) for test automation.
- Experience with yield analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Spotfire) and failure analysis techniques (e.g., EMMI, OBIRCH).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes (wafer fab, assembly, or final test) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
