Responsibility
- Lead the design and development of high-voltage primary systems, including substations, switchgear, and transmission lines, ensuring compliance with IEC, ANSI, and local regulations.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and calculations for HV equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate primary design solutions into broader infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless execution.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical reviews to optimize design performance and cost-efficiency.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and best practices in high-voltage engineering.
- Support business development by contributing to proposals, client presentations, and technical reports.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in high-voltage engineering to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in high-voltage primary design, with a focus on substations, switchgear, or transmission systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, PLS-CADD, or similar design software.
- Strong knowledge of IEC, ANSI, and local electrical standards (e.g., PLN regulations in Indonesia).
- Experience with power system analysis, short-circuit studies, and protection coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia) are a plus.
- Professional engineering certification (e.g., PE, CEng, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
