Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize chemical process equipment to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of chemical equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and safety, to streamline processes and improve operational performance.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all chemical processes and equipment adhere to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to operational staff on equipment usage, maintenance, and safety best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical equipment design, maintenance, or process optimization within the chemical, petrochemical, or manufacturing industries.
- Proven expertise in process safety management (PSM), risk assessment, and compliance with local and international standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
- Strong knowledge of chemical process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, COMSOL) and CAD software for equipment design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop practical solutions.
- Familiarity with PLC systems, automation, and control systems for chemical equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Certification in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) or similar safety methodologies is highly desirable.
