Responsibility
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings using industry-standard software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or AutoCAD).
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to review plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on material costs, labor rates, and industry trends to refine estimating methodologies.
- Prepare and present bid proposals, including detailed breakdowns, risk assessments, and value engineering recommendations to stakeholders.
- Analyze project feasibility by evaluating costs, timelines, and potential risks to support decision-making.
- Maintain organized documentation of estimates, revisions, and bid comparisons for audit and reference purposes.
- Provide post-bid support, including contract negotiations, change order pricing, and cost tracking throughout project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPE, CCCA) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pre-construction estimating, preferably in commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, RSMeans) and Microsoft Excel for complex calculations and data analysis.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents with precision.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proven track record of delivering accurate, competitive bids and managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with local construction codes, regulations, and market conditions in Indonesia is advantageous.
