Responsibility
- Lead the research and development of advanced power electronics solutions for data center applications, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and sustainability
- Design and simulate high-performance power conversion systems using tools like PLECS, PSIM, or MATLAB/Simulink
- Develop and prototype innovative power topologies including resonant converters, multi-level inverters, and advanced control algorithms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into commercializable products
- Conduct comprehensive thermal and electromagnetic interference (EMI) analysis to optimize system performance
- Prepare technical reports, white papers, and patent applications for novel power electronics solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical roadmaps for future power system architectures
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in wide-bandgap semiconductors (SiC, GaN) and their applications in power electronics
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proven track record in power electronics research with publications or patents in the field
- Expertise in power converter design (DC-DC, AC-DC, DC-AC) for high-power applications
- Proficiency with simulation tools (PLECS, PSIM, LTspice) and PCB design software (Altium, KiCad)
- Strong background in control theory and digital signal processing for power electronics
- Experience with wide-bandgap semiconductor devices (SiC, GaN) and their gate driver designs
- Knowledge of data center power architectures and energy efficiency standards (80 PLUS, Energy Star)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment
