Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL programs, stored procedures, functions, and packages based on approved technical design documents.
- Optimize SQL queries and database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug database issues, errors, and performance bottlenecks to ensure system reliability.
- Implement data migration, ETL processes, and integration solutions to support business operations.
- Write and maintain technical documentation, including code comments, design specifications, and user guides.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies to contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a PL/SQL Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of database projects.
- Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, and database design principles.
- Experience with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization in Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with ETL tools, data warehousing, and reporting solutions (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator, SSIS, or similar).
- Knowledge of database security best practices, including role-based access control and encryption.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex database issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and agile methodologies is a plus.
