Responsibility
- Lead and oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of data center hardware, including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
- Design and implement support frameworks to ensure 99.9% uptime and rapid issue resolution for critical infrastructure.
- Govern and sign off on technical specifications, change management processes, and compliance standards for data center operations.
- Collaborate with global teams to troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues and drive root-cause analysis (RCA).
- Develop and enforce best practices for preventive maintenance, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
- Mentor junior technicians and provide technical leadership to ensure team alignment with Oracle’s service excellence standards.
- Monitor performance metrics and generate reports to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
- Liaise with vendors and stakeholders to coordinate hardware upgrades, warranties, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, ITIL) are a plus.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data center support, hardware maintenance, or IT infrastructure, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in enterprise-grade hardware (e.g., Oracle Exadata, Dell EMC, HPE, Cisco UCS) and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Proficiency in data center technologies, including virtualization (VMware, KVM), SAN/NAS storage, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks and incident/change management processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and implement scalable solutions.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) with exceptional communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts and respond to on-call escalations as needed.
