We are seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineer to drive the technical excellence of our Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and subsea pipeline projects.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the tendering, in-house design, and construction engineering coordination for high-impact projects, ensuring compliance with international standards (DNV, API, ASME) while optimizing cost, safety, and efficiency. Based in Denpasar, Bali, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, subsea specialists, and clients, to deliver world-class pipeline solutions. Ideal for professionals with a passion for offshore engineering, HDD methodologies, and subsea installation.
Responsibility
- Lead the technical design and engineering of subsea pipelines and HDD projects, including route selection, stress analysis, and material specifications.
- Develop and review tender documents, FEED studies, and detailed engineering drawings in compliance with industry codes (DNV, API, ISO).
- Coordinate with construction teams to ensure seamless execution, troubleshooting technical challenges during installation.
- Perform hydraulic, thermal, and structural analyses using software like AutoPIPE, CAESAR II, or ABAQUS.
- Oversee risk assessments (HAZID, HAZOP) and implement mitigation strategies for pipeline integrity.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to secure approvals and align project deliverables with contractual obligations.
- Optimize cost estimates and project schedules while maintaining adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training on pipeline design best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Ocean Engineering; a focus on subsea/pipeline systems is a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in pipeline engineering, with at least 3 years in HDD or subsea projects.
- Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, PDMS, Orbit, or similar) and FEA tools.
- Strong knowledge of international standards (DNVGL-RP-F101, API 1111, ASME B31.4/B31.8).
- Proven track record in tendering, FEED, and EPC phases for offshore/marine projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; fluency in English is mandatory.
- PE (Professional Engineer) certification or equivalent is highly advantageous.
- Willingness to travel to project sites (Indonesia/SEA) as required.
