Responsibility
- Design and engineer low-voltage security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and perimeter security) for AWS data centers and facilities globally.
- Develop and implement physical security standards, policies, and best practices aligned with AWSâs security framework and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Collaborate with cloud engineering, IT, and facility teams to integrate physical security solutions with AWSâs digital infrastructure.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate physical security threats to AWS assets.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and deployment of security technologies, ensuring scalability and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security engineers and facility teams on security system implementation and maintenance.
- Monitor emerging security threats and industry trends to recommend proactive enhancements to AWSâs physical security posture.
- Support incident response efforts by analyzing security breaches and recommending corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Security Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in physical security design, engineering, or architecture, with a focus on low-voltage systems.
- Proven expertise in designing and deploying security systems such as CCTV, access control, biometrics, intrusion detection, and perimeter security.
- Familiarity with security compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST) and their application to physical security.
- Experience working with cloud providers or large-scale data center environments is a strong plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional), CPP (Certified Protection Professional), or CISSP are highly desirable.
