In this role, you will design, execute, and analyze performance tests to identify bottlenecks, optimize system scalability, and guarantee flawless user experiences under heavy load.
As a Load & Stress Testing Specialist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to simulate real-world scenarios, measure system behavior, and provide actionable insights to enhance application performance. Responsibility
- Design, develop, and execute performance test plans, scripts, and scenarios using industry-standard tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
- Conduct load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing to evaluate system behavior under various conditions.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, analyze root causes, and recommend optimizations for response time, throughput, and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and QA teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics (e.g., latency, CPU/memory usage, error rates) with clear, data-driven insights.
- Simulate real-world user traffic to validate system stability and reliability before production deployment.
- Document test results, defects, and recommendations in detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Stay updated with emerging performance testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing for web/mobile applications.
- Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or NeoLoad.
- Strong knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, REST/SOAP APIs, and database performance tuning.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to articulate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications in performance testing (e.g., HP LoadRunner, ISTQB Performance Tester) are a plus.
