Responsibility
- Process and manage end-to-end payroll for APAC employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local tax and labor regulations.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to resolve payroll discrepancies, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Maintain and update payroll systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, or similar) with employee data, salary changes, and benefits deductions.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll records to identify and rectify errors, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on payroll-related queries, including tax implications, leave balances, and compensation structures.
- Stay abreast of changes in payroll legislation across APAC countries and implement necessary adjustments to processes.
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports for management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Assist in the implementation of payroll automation tools and best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll processing, with at least 2 years focused on multi-country APAC payroll.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).
- Strong knowledge of local tax laws, social security contributions, and labor regulations in APAC countries (e.g., Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand).
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive data with confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional APAC languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin) are a plus.
- Certification in payroll (e.g., CPP, FPC) or HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment, with strong self-motivation and time-management skills.
