Responsibility
- Own and perform general ledger account reconciliations with a focus on payroll-related accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Conduct balance sheet analysis and prepare adjustment entries to maintain financial data integrity.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including payroll accruals, tax withholdings, and benefit reconciliations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, and Payroll) to resolve discrepancies and improve financial reporting efficiency.
- Develop and maintain documentation for SOX compliance and internal audit requirements.
- Automate and streamline reconciliation processes using Excel, ERP systems, or other financial tools to enhance productivity.
- Prepare and present financial reports for senior management, highlighting key payroll metrics and variances.
- Stay updated on local and international payroll tax regulations and ensure adherence in all financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll accounting, general ledger reconciliations, or financial reporting.
- Proven expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and SOX compliance frameworks.
- Experience working in a global shared services or BPO environment is highly preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work night shifts (aligning with US/EU business hours) and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
