Responsibility
- Develop and modify patterns for new and existing apparel designs using both manual and digital methods.
- Calculate precise material requirements to minimize waste and optimize production costs.
- Collaborate with designers to interpret sketches and technical specifications into functional patterns.
- Conduct fittings and adjustments to ensure patterns meet quality and sizing standards.
- Maintain an organized library of patterns, specifications, and grading rules for future reference.
- Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot pattern-related issues during manufacturing.
- Stay updated on industry trends, fabrics, and techniques to enhance pattern efficiency and design innovation.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, brand standards, and production timelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Pattern Maker in the apparel or textile industry.
- Proficiency in pattern-making software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, or Optitex) and manual drafting techniques.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and grading systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurement charts.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy in patterns.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of sustainable and cost-effective material usage practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with Bali’s textile manufacturing landscape is advantageous.
