We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to ensure the high availability, performance, and security of our mission-critical Oracle databases. In this role, you will lead database installations, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize data infrastructure.
As a Senior Oracle DBA, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our enterprise database environments, implementing best practices, and driving innovation in database management. This is a contract position offering a competitive salary range of IDR 35M – 37M per month, commensurate with experience.

Responsibility
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle Database systems (12c, 19c, 21c) in production and non-production environments.
- Perform database patching, maintenance, and performance tuning to ensure optimal system efficiency.
- Monitor database health, capacity, and security, implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database schemas for performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, including blocking sessions, deadlocks, and storage bottlenecks.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (Shell, Python, or PL/SQL) to improve operational efficiency.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration, including installation, upgrades, and patching.
- Proficient in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Experience with performance tuning tools (AWR, ASH, Statspack) and SQL optimization.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Shell, Python, or Perl).
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or higher certification is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 support environment.
