We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our dynamic team in Bali, managing and optimizing enterprise banking databases and critical systems. In this role, you will ensure the high availability, performance, and security of our Oracle database environments, supporting mission-critical financial operations.
As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions. Your expertise will drive the stability and scalability of our systems, enabling seamless banking transactions and data integrity.
This is a contract position offering a competitive salary range of IDR 23,000,000 – IDR 32,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience. Responsibility
- Design, implement, and manage Oracle Database architectures for enterprise banking systems, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain database security protocols, including user access controls, encryption, and compliance with financial regulations.
- Automate routine database tasks such as backups, patching, and maintenance using scripts and Oracle tools (e.g., RMAN, Data Pump).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring system reliability.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployments and database migrations.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Evaluate and recommend new Oracle technologies and tools to enhance database efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)) are a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with a focus on enterprise or banking environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database 12c/19c/21c, including RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
- Proven expertise in performance tuning, SQL optimization, and database troubleshooting.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Strong understanding of database security, encryption, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with cloud databases (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS) is advantageous.
