Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the occupational therapy needs of students and trainees with disabilities or developmental challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each studentâs abilities, goals, and IEP (Individualized Education Program) objectives.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for studentsâ developmental and educational progress.
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions, including fine motor skills development, sensory integration, and adaptive living skills training.
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Educate and train teachers, caregivers, and support staff on strategies to reinforce therapy goals in classroom and home settings.
- Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy for special needs populations and integrate evidence-based approaches into treatment.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and professional development activities to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license or registration (recognition in Indonesia or equivalent international certification).
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience, preferably in pediatric, special education, or developmental disability settings.
- Proven expertise in assessing and treating conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and other developmental disorders.
- Strong knowledge of sensory integration, fine/gross motor development, and adaptive equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and professionals.
- Experience working in multicultural or international environments is a plus.
