Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with hand, wrist, and upper extremity injuries or conditions to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Design and implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and adaptive techniques.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, and nurses, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and ergonomic modifications to support long-term recovery.
- Utilize advanced therapeutic modalities, such as splinting, scar management, and sensory re-education, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
- Mentor junior therapists and provide clinical supervision to ensure high standards of practice within the team.
- Stay current with the latest research and advancements in hand therapy to continuously enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist, with at least 3 years specializing in hand therapy.
- Certification in Hand Therapy (e.g., CHT or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Proven expertise in treating conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendon injuries, fractures, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and therapeutic techniques specific to the upper extremity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in Indonesia.
