Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade Cisco network infrastructures, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement and optimize network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control policies to safeguard against cyber threats.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively resolve bottlenecks to maintain 99.9% uptime in a mission-critical environment.
- Lead network capacity planning, scalability assessments, and upgrades to support business growth and evolving technological demands.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop and enforce network policies, standards, and best practices in compliance with industry regulations.
- Conduct regular network audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Document network architectures, configurations, and incident reports for compliance and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; CCNP, CCNA, or CCIE certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering, with a focus on Cisco technologies (ASA, Nexus, Catalyst, IOS-XE).
- Expertise in firewall management (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower), VPN configurations, and network segmentation.
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies (VLAN, STP, VXLAN), and QoS implementations.
- Proven experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark) and SIEM solutions for proactive threat detection.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including zero-trust architecture, encryption, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 high-availability environment.
- Fluent in English with exceptional communication and documentation skills.
