Responsibility
- Lead the strategic vision and execution of Microsoft Fabric adoption, ensuring seamless integration with existing data ecosystems.
- Design and implement scalable enterprise data architectures to support business intelligence, analytics, and AI-driven initiatives.
- Oversee data governance, security, and compliance frameworks to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory adherence (e.g., GDPR, local data laws).
- Collaborate with C-level executives and business stakeholders to align data strategies with organizational goals, driving data-driven decision-making.
- Optimize data workflows and pipelines to enhance efficiency, reduce latency, and improve data quality across the insurance value chain.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning, real-time analytics) to future-proof the organization’s data capabilities.
- Develop and track KPIs to measure the success of data initiatives, presenting insights to senior leadership and board members.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise data management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (e.g., IT Director, Data Director, Chief Data Officer).
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, and Power BI, with hands-on experience in implementation and optimization.
- Strong background in data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Experience designing and deploying scalable data architectures (e.g., data lakes, warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines) using modern tools (e.g., Databricks, Synapse, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with AI/ML integration and real-time analytics to drive predictive modeling and business insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for non-technical audiences.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer, CDMP, or TOGAF are highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
