Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network architectures for Equinixâs global data centers and cloud infrastructure.
- Lead network capacity planning, performance optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure 99.99% uptime and reliability.
- Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with network vendors, ensuring cost-effective and high-performance solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., security, cloud, and operations) to align network strategies with business objectives.
- Develop and enforce network policies, standards, and best practices to maintain compliance and security.
- Monitor network performance, analyze trends, and proactively address potential issues before they impact operations.
- Lead network-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and expansions, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and support teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise or data center environments.
- Expertise in routing and switching technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista) and protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN).
- Hands-on experience with network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS) and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Wireshark).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives from conception to completion.
- Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
