Responsibility
- Deploy and Configure HCI Solutions: Lead the end-to-end implementation of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure platforms, including hardware setup, software configuration, and integration with existing systems.
- Storage & Server Management: Administer and optimize storage arrays (SAN/NAS), server clusters, and virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix).
- Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system health, identify bottlenecks, and resolve complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain robust backup and DR strategies to protect critical data and minimize downtime.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to document system architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Capacity Planning: Assess current and future infrastructure needs, recommending scalable solutions to support business growth.
- Client Support & Training: Provide technical guidance to clients and internal teams, including training sessions on HCI management and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years specializing in HCI, storage systems (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage), and server virtualization.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, or similar HCI platforms.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include VCIX, VCP, MCSE, or vendor-specific HCI certifications (e.g., Nutanix Certified Professional).
- Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for task automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewall configurations in enterprise environments.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues under pressure, with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills to articulate technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
- Contract Readiness: Availability to commit to a 12-month contract with potential for extension based on performance.
