Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Implement and optimize stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views to enhance database efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, deadlocks, and other issues.
- Ensure data integrity and security through proper backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate database solutions with application architectures.
- Automate routine database tasks using scripts (T-SQL, PowerShell) and scheduling tools.
- Conduct regular database maintenance, including indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
- Document database schemas, configurations, and procedures for internal reference and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server Administrator or Database Developer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or later), including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
- Strong knowledge of T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with database security, encryption, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO standards).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
