As a Senior Merchandiser, you will drive the end-to-end production and sourcing process, ensuring seamless execution from concept to delivery. Responsibility
- Lead the development and execution of seasonal product sourcing and production plans in alignment with brand objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, production, logistics) to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing, terms, and sustainable sourcing solutions.
- Monitor market trends, consumer demand, and competitor activity to inform merchandising strategies.
- Oversee sample development, costing, and production timelines to meet deadlines and budget targets.
- Analyze sales data and inventory levels to optimize product assortment and minimize overstock/understock risks.
- Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing, quality standards, and company policies across all supply chain activities.
- Mentor junior merchandising team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandising, sourcing, or product development within the retail or apparel industry.
- Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts in a global context.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
- Deep understanding of production processes, costing, and lead-time management.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 20% of the time).
- Passion for sustainability and ethical sourcing practices is highly desirable.
