Responsibility

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients and families to identify needs, risks, and strengths.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams, patients, and families.
  • Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and families navigating health crises, chronic illnesses, or end-of-life care.
  • Advocate for patients’ rights and access to medical, financial, and social resources, including community programs and government assistance.
  • Facilitate support groups and educational workshops to promote mental health and coping strategies.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transitions between healthcare settings and home care.
  • Document all interventions, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with local NGOs, hospitals, and government agencies to expand support networks for underserved populations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (accredited by relevant Indonesian or international bodies).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medical social work, preferably in hospitals, hospices, or community health settings.
  • Licensed or registered as a Social Worker in Indonesia (or eligible for registration).
  • Proven ability to conduct psychosocial assessments and develop evidence-based care plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Experience working with diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in Bali or similar contexts.
  • Knowledge of local healthcare systems, social services, and legal frameworks in Indonesia.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and patient advocacy.
