Responsibility
- Design and develop high-precision metal components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360).
- Conduct feasibility studies and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate designs for performance, durability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency without compromising quality.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
- Lead prototyping and testing phases, analyzing results to refine designs and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in precision metal fabrication to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Ensure all projects adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on precision metal components or similar industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent) and FEA tools (ANSYS, NASTRAN).
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, additive manufacturing).
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and international engineering standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to project management.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
