Responsibility
- Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of plant machinery and equipment to ensure reliable and efficient performance.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and safety, to align engineering initiatives with business goals.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage and mentor a team of mechanical technicians and junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Oversee the procurement, installation, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment efficiency, energy consumption, and maintenance costs.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, CEng) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role within a manufacturing or processing plant environment.
- Proven expertise in maintaining and optimizing industrial machinery, such as conveyors, pumps, compressors, and processing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, as well as condition monitoring techniques.
- Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) tools and methodologies, such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, or FMEA.
- Proficiency in using engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CMMS) and familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA, ASME).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing engineering challenges.
