Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and technicians to ensure optimal performance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Develop and implement strategic maintenance plans, preventive maintenance schedules, and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of new mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, operations, and procurement) to align mechanical engineering projects with business objectives.
- Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, including budgeting, vendor selection, and timeline adherence for mechanical upgrades.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR), driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols in all mechanical operations and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., P.E., CMRP) is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the cement, heavy industry, or manufacturing sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in rotating equipment (crushers, mills, kilns, conveyors), hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and material handling systems.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance planning tools (e.g., CMMS, SAP PM) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering mechanical projects on time and within budget.
- Familiarity with Indonesian industrial regulations and international standards (ISO, ASME, API).
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, FMEA).
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
