Responsibility
- Lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process from concept to mass production, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems and components for gas system integration, using CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS).
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO, ASME).
- Develop and validate test protocols for mechanical and gas system performance, including pressure, flow, and leak testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during prototyping, testing, and production, implementing corrective actions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, engineering drawings, and user manuals.
- Evaluate and select materials, vendors, and manufacturing processes to balance cost, quality, and lead time.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; professional certification (e.g., P.E.) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, NPI, or gas system integration, preferably in precision manufacturing or semiconductor industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, welding, assembly).
- Experience with gas delivery systems, vacuum technology, or fluid dynamics is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with industry standards (ISO 9001, ASME, CE, UL) and regulatory requirements for mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate with global teams.
