As a Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC/ACMV), you will oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and mechanical ventilation systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure energy-efficient, compliant, and high-performance solutions tailored to Bali’s unique climate and architectural demands.
Based in Canggu (with flexibility for site visits across Bali), you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and clients, to deliver world-class mechanical engineering solutions. Whether you’re optimizing system performance, troubleshooting complex issues, or mentoring junior engineers, your work will shape sustainable and innovative infrastructure in one of Southeast Asia’s most vibrant regions.
Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of HVAC/ACMV systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects in compliance with local and international standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies, load calculations, and energy efficiency analyses to optimize system performance and sustainability.
- Oversee site inspections, installations, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into building designs.
- Develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents for HVAC/ACMV projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical system issues, providing cost-effective and innovative solutions.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and regulations in HVAC/ACMV to drive innovation and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, LEED) is a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in HVAC/ACMV system design, installation, and maintenance, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Proven expertise in HVAC load calculations, ductwork design, and refrigeration cycles using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP).
- Strong knowledge of local and international codes (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, Indonesian SNI standards).
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of delivering cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Bali as required.
