Responsibility
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex sub-assemblies for digital microscope systems, ensuring precision and reliability.
- Manage the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through to mass production and post-market support.
- Perform structural and thermal analysis to validate designs and meet stringent performance specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external manufacturing partners to ensure design for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
- Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation according to industry standards.
- Oversee engineering change requests (ECR) and engineering change orders (ECO) to maintain design integrity.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the refinement of mechanical design processes and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in precision mechanical design, preferably within the medical device, optics, or high-precision instrumentation sectors.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or NX).
- Proven experience with lifecycle management (PLM) tools and processes.
- Solid understanding of materials science, tolerances, and mechanical assembly techniques for high-precision components.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems through analytical thinking and experimental validation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
