Responsibility
- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components for defense and aerospace applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and systems engineers, to integrate mechanical designs into complex systems.
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis, simulations, and testing to validate performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical systems.
- Oversee the lifecycle support of mechanical products, from prototyping to production, including troubleshooting and optimization.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and compliance certifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project planning to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation in mechanical engineering solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on defense, aerospace, or complex systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and engineering simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with system integration, testing, and lifecycle support of mechanical products.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., MIL-STD, ISO, AS9100) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to stakeholders.
