Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and testing of high-efficiency power electronics systems, including inverters, converters, and control circuits.
- Drive R&D initiatives to innovate next-generation power solutions, focusing on performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, firmware, and software engineers) to integrate power electronics into full-system architectures.
- Conduct simulation, modeling, and prototyping using tools like MATLAB, Simulink, PLECS, or LTspice to validate designs.
- Optimize power electronics for energy efficiency, thermal management, and EMI/EMC compliance in accordance with industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in power electronics best practices and emerging technologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends in wide-bandgap semiconductors (SiC, GaN), digital power control, and renewable energy applications.
- Support manufacturing and production teams to ensure seamless transition from R&D to mass production.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in power electronics design, with a focus on R&D, high-power applications, or renewable energy systems.
- Proven expertise in circuit design, PCB layout, and firmware integration for power conversion systems.
- Proficiency in simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM) and hardware testing (oscilloscopes, power analyzers).
- Strong knowledge of power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC, GaN) and magnetic components (transformers, inductors).
- Experience with industry standards (IEC, UL, CE) and compliance testing for power electronics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead complex technical projects from concept to commercialization.
- Fluency in English; prior experience in an international or multicultural team is advantageous.
