We are seeking a Plastic Injection Product Engineer to drive excellence in product development, mold design, and process optimization for high-precision plastic components.
In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production, from prototyping to mass manufacturing. Your expertise in plastic injection molding, 2D/3D design interpretation, and quality control frameworks (Control Plan, PFMEA, PPAP) will be critical in delivering world-class products that meet stringent industry standards.

Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize plastic injection molds and tooling for high-volume production.
- Interpret and validate 2D/3D engineering drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances.
- Implement and maintain Control Plans, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) to guarantee product quality.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot molding defects, reduce scrap, and improve cycle times.
- Conduct material selection and testing to ensure durability, cost-efficiency, and performance.
- Lead process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and documentation for new product launches.
- Monitor and analyze process parameters (temperature, pressure, cooling) to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in plastic injection molding and propose innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Polymer Science (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in plastic injection molding, preferably in automotive, electronics, or medical device industries.
- Proficiency in 2D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with 3D modeling.
- In-depth knowledge of Control Plan, PFMEA, PPAP, and APQP methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis (RCA) and DOE (Design of Experiments).
- Hands-on experience with molding machine setup, process optimization, and defect analysis.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with global teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or IATF 16949 are a plus.
